When Alanna first stepped into Mirboo North’s beloved “chocolate shop” thirteen years ago, looking for work experience, she never thought that all these years later she would call it her own.
After owning the business for six years, this little cafe has gone from strength to strength and in late 2023 saw a major renovation increasing patronage and allowing it to become everybody’s favourite meeting spot year round.
With its unique location “on the ridge” in Mirboo North, visitors come from all over Gippsland and day trip from Melbourne to score a seat for lunch.
With a strong passion for coffee, good wholesome food and a love for feel-good interiors, Alanna has created a space that feels like cosy and luxe. It’s no wonder visitors find their favourite seat and stay a while, soaking it all in.

Our menu changes seasonally and ingredients sourced as locally as possible. Vegan and gluten free options are always catered for within our menu.
All of our cakes and biscuits are baked in house.
Drink
Finding local wine-makers and up and coming micro breweries are some of our favourite things to do. Sailors Grave Brewing, Good Land Beer, Purple Hen Winery, Lithostylis and Gurney’s Cider will always be on our shelves.
